Feeling like home in Kuala Lumpur with Concorde hotel

As you know from my Instagram, I´ve recently visited Kuala Lumpur, what an amazing and multicultural city, full of glorious food, warm and friendly people, stunning new buildings that live in harmony with an ancient and rich tradition.

I got invited to stay at the Concorde Hotel, Centrally located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s golden triangle, the Concorde is only a 1-hour drive away from KL International Airport, accessible to any good spots in town.

Since its opening, the Concorde has made its mark as a superior class hotel with its own range of services with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency and good value.

The Concorde is a ‘lady’, reflecting maturity, elegance and style in the careful amalgamation of new and old. Renowned international designer Bent Severin and Associates have created a whole new ambiance for the product.

As befits any contemporary building, an imposing sky porch marks the entranceway to the hotel, and window ledges accented by a glass canopy give it a modern facade. The airy lobby is luxuriously appointed with arabescatu and grey degusa marble.

Many of the Concorde’s restaurants and bars are conveniently located at lobby level, as is the hotel’s Concorde Ballroom which is large enough for 1,000 head cocktail parties.

The Concorde features a wide variety of food. Priced to compete with free-standing restaurants, the standard of food preparation is probably one of the best in the city. I can highly recommend their Chinese restaurant their Xin cuisine where delectable Hong Kong dim sum, congee, noodles and home-style cuisine are served. Probably one of the best Chinese foods I’ve ever tasted.

An interesting fact: Did you know that the king of pop itself Michael Jackson stayed at the Concorde hotel on his world tour 96?

Yes, he did.

After holding a concert at Stadium Merdeka, this legendary singer stayed at the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Also noted, it was the last time Michael Jackson set foot in Malaysia until the end of his life.

And his suite is now an amazing museum. I got a chance to visit, the hotel management enshrined his room with a museum-style decoration marked by King of Pop’s knick-knacks. Some photos during concerts, clothing shows and MJ’s photos are neatly and well-maintained in MJ Suites.

While the King of Pop may no longer among us, there is no doubt he will have eternal life in here, and i could feel her presence there. It was an amazing experience.

I was staying under their at one of their Premier Executive Room- With a minimalistic approach and a number of exclusive benefits, stylish rooms promises untold comfort. Designed with walk-in closet and four feature bathroom, the room also allows space for the travelling executives with a separate workstation.

Their premier services include all you need when you’re travelling for business in Kuala Lumpur. You can enjoy private check-in, destress with relaxing massages and other benefits at a great value. They also have available at the Executive Business Centre equipped with all conceivable you need.

Auxiliary facilities include a fitness centre with a workout room with lifecycles, Stairmaster and treadmill, a sauna and steam room, and one of Kuala Lumpur’s most significant hotel swimming pools.

In Summary, perfect location, excellent quality for good value, exquisite food and amazing premier services. I want to send a massive thank you to the hole management Julini and Jie Jing for making this experience possible, and all the staff that treated me so well, you made me feel right like at home. Thank you i can’t wait to come back.
